How to get to the Khast Imam complex by metro
Station, line, walking time and tips — the complete guide.
Get off at Chorsu station (Oʻzbekiston Line (Line 2)). From there it is about a 20-minute walk (or a short taxi) to the Hazrati Imam (Khast Imam) religious complex.
The walk is honest onward travel — there is no closer station, so allow for the extra distance.
Alternatively: Gʻafur Gʻulom station (Oʻzbekiston Line (Line 2)).

Overview
The Hazrati Imam complex — usually called Khast Imam — is the spiritual heart of Tashkent, a square of madrasahs, minarets and the Barak-Khan mosque built around the tomb of the 10th-century scholar Abu Bakr Kaffal Shashi. Its library keeps the Uthman Quran, one of the oldest Qurans in the world. The complex sits deep in the old town and has no metro station of its own: the nearest is Chorsu on the Oʻzbekiston Line, from which it is a walk or a very short taxi.
